Our elder based leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus, the Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ. In addition to the senior pastor, HCAssembly serves this body with two biblically qualified elders.

Pastor Reggie and Cathy Whiddon

When Pastor Reggie was 9 years old, he felt the call on his life to become a pastor. Raised in a solid Christian home, he understood the calling very well. At age 21, he yielded to that call and enrolled in Liberty Bible College for pastoral preparation. He began serving the pastorate in 1974. He later enrolled and graduated Southern Bible Institute and Seminary in 2000 where he earned a Doctorate in Christian Education and Theology.

Cathy Whiddon comes from a large family of 9 children. She was raised by a very conservative christian mother and father where she learned the value of hard work. She is the office manager at Huntsville Christian Academy.
In 1987, God united Reggie and Cathy together and they have been happily married over 30 years had have 5 adult children.

Greetings From The Pastor

Our family moved to Huntsville AL in 1992. In 1993 God gave us a vision to start Huntsville Christian Academy. A few parents requested of me to begin a small Bible study on Sunday nights. As we studied together, that eventually led us to plant a small Christian church congregation in the facilities of Huntsville Christian Academy. In May of 2006, our worship services changed from Sunday evenings to Friday evenings. After 10 years, we moved our meeting time to Saturday mornings.

“Our congregation is warm, friendly, sincere, and hungry to know Him and keep His commandments. Our worship is meaningful and heartfelt. Our teachings are sincere and balanced. Simply put — Huntsville Christian Assembly is a refreshing change from the “protocol.” If you come here we make a guarantee to you that we will love you, accept you, and give you the freedom to grow in Him as His Spirit leads you. Please attend and enjoy your time with us.”
